• Sleeve or grommets? This is a grommeted flag. Flags used on vertical poles are usually grommetted, although premium nylon sleeve flags (highly resistant to abrasion) work very well.  Flags used on horizontal or angled poles are usually pole sleeve flags, although grommeted flags with a stiff hoist edge (next to the pole) work well on horizontal or angled poles. The hoist edge on this flag is thick and stiff - which makes it suitable for vertical, angled or horizontal display.  This flag requires a pole designed for a grommetted flag!
