Power source

Direct drive spur gear transmission driving a high power 3-phase alternator with high efficiency 3 phase rectification (total system efficiency of 74%).

Alternator 

• 6 pole pair of Zinc coated Sintered Neodynium Iron Boron permanent magnets (N35H Grade).

• For mobile phone applications talk time performance from the FreeCharge Universal Crank Charger is influenced by several factors. These include phone make and model, signal strength, battery condition, duration of winding effort and the charging characteristics of the accessory car adapter used.
• Most mobile phones have low voltage cutout circuitry in order to protect the battery and retain stored memory data when the battery is flat. In order that this circuitry does not impact on repeatable talk time performance it is recommended that a minimum of 3 minutes winding be applied.
