Many devices are powered by cheap, internal, non-removable battery pacs. Most of these battery pacs are a wrapped and soldered bundle ofhighly toxic NiCad batteriesor low-end LiON batteries- rather than high-quality, name brand NiMH batteries. Unless the battery pac is comprised of Low Self Discharge NiMH batteries, the device will require trickle charging to stay charged,
which wastes energy and wears out the pac prematurely. If removable, expect most replacement pacs to be low on quality and high on price.
